THE FIFTH WALL is an exhibition at the Armory Center for the Arts in Pasadena, California. Centered around the work of seven different artists, the show proposes a way to display and think about art critically in its context, specifically that the environment of the gallery operates like a theater.
The space in the Armory becomes a stage in which drama, presentation, and production become another component to works of art; not necessarily to heighten our experience, but to remind us of the artifice and highly constructed reality we live in everyday. In collaboration with River Jukes-Hudson.
